Pomegranate and Berry Blast Mojito (Non - Alcoholic)

This is summer time and there is one drink which I can swear on at any time. Yes, it's Mojito. This classic drink is my all time favourite but along with that mojito is also very versatile drink. You can do a lot of experiment with this one drink.  It's so refreshing that by thinking of this name makes you feel calm, refreshed and rejuvenated.  You can make it with alcohol and without alcohol both. Both are equally full of taste. So today's drink is one variation of this drink. The name of the drink is Pomegranate and Berry Blast Mojito. You can also call it as Virgin Mojito as no alcohol is added. Its a combination of pomegranate juice, cranberry juice with freshly crushed strawberries. Just saying the name of this drink makes me feel so good.

As it's very hot outside so thought of making a non-alcoholic version of it. But if you want to add white rum, you can do so. It tastes divine. In this drink, I have muddled some strawberries with freshly torn mint leaves, lime juice and sugar together. Then in large glass jug or pitcher, I have added pomegranate juice and cranberry juice and muddled strawberry and mixed it well. Pour it into a glass with some ice and any lime soda and its done. It's so simple and easy to make.

So here is my recipe below:-

Preparation Time:- 5 minutes   Standing Time:- 5 minutes
Total Time:- 10 minutes

Number of Servings:- 4 - 6 persons

Measurements:-
1 cup = 250 ml
½ cup = 125ml
1 tablespoon = 15 ml
1 teaspoon = 5 ml
½ teaspoon = 2.5 ml
¼ teaspoon = 1.25 ml

Ingredients:-
1) Fresh Strawberries:- 5 - 6 Nos. (Remove the stem and diced)
2) Fresh Mint Leaves:- ¼ cup (roughly torn)
3) Lime/Lemon Juice:- ¼ cup
4)  Chilled Cranberry Juice:- 3 cups (750 ml)
5) Chilled Pomegranate Juice:- 2 cups (500 ml)
6) Sugar:- 2½ tablespoon
7) Lime Soda/Sprite/7Up:- half a glass ( according to your size of the glass)
8) Ice cubes:- 4 - 5 (per glass)

Method:-
1) Take a glass or cocktail shaker and add mint leaves, strawberries, sugar and lime juice to it.

2) With a muddler, muddle or crush the strawberries mixing all the ingredients very well. the sugar must be dissolved in the lime juice and strawberries. (If you don't have a muddler you can do it in a mortar pestle.)

3) Take a big jug or pitcher and add cranberry juice, pomegranate juice and the crushed strawberry to it. Mix it well with any long handle spoon. Keep it rest for 5 minutes. It will help to infuse all the flavours of strawberries, mint and lime to the juices.

4)  Now take a cocktail glass, fill it with ice cubes. add the juice mix up to half a glass and fill remaining with any of the lime soda. Stir well.

5) Garnish it with one strawberry, a mint sprig and serve chilled.

Note:
* If you want to add some alcohol to it. Add 30 - 60 ml of white rum as per glass.
